Dialogue Journal

A group of students introduce a story, this time allowing others to ask questions.

The listening students must write a dialogue journal (divided two columns on one page, with notes on the left and questions about meaning on the right) as they read or listen.  They then each create three questions taken from their journals, and put these to the students who have introduced the story.

Variation: The teacher shares (reads) from the journals, anonymously if necessary.
